Alpha2-adrenergic receptor agonists such as clonidine, brimonidine, monoxidine, ropecidine, administered by the tongue, sublingual or buccal route, are useful for the treatment of salivary hyperplasia. Patients to be treated also receive anti-muscarinic agents such as oxybutynin, glycopyrrolate, ifpratropium. |
