abstract | The present invention relates to a method for producing high yield xylitol using a tropical strain and a biomass hydrolyzate in which xylitol dehydrogenase is inactivated and arabinos reductase activity is inhibited, and xylitol produced by the method is xylitol dehydrogenase ( Candida Tropical with Xylitol Dehydrogenase tropicalis ) By using the mutant strain BS-xdh1 (KCTC 11137bp), biomass hydrolyzate is used as a substrate and a high yield of xylitol is converted into xylitol without a separate process for controlling the low concentration of dissolved oxygen in the production medium. And a xylitol produced by the method. In addition, by using the Candida tropicalis mutant ara-89 (KCTC 11136bp), which inhibits the activity of arabinose reductase that converts arabinose to arabitol, adversely affects the crystal yield of xylitol produced when biomass is used as a substrate.
