titleOfInvention | Fabric from radioactive ray shield |
abstract | A radiation shielding fabric capable of shielding radiation without use of lead is provided to secure safety of an operator of an atomic power plant or an atomic power facility by including a radiation shielding layer and a neutron shielding layer. A radiation shielding fabric comprises a first radiation shielding layer, a second radiation shielding layer(1), and a neutron shielding layer(2). A coating layer is formed on a surface of the first radiation shielding layer and the second radiation shielding layer, and is made of polyurethane resin. An organic iodine based radiation compound and a barium sulphate are uniformly dispersed inside the coating layer with a powder phase. The neutron shielding layer is gel type sheet having a fine air bubble, and is formed through mixing/extrusion/cooling of thermoplastic polyolefin of 10~50 weight% and rest melting paraffin. An air bubble size of the neutron shielding layer is 0.001~1um. An air bubble porosity of the neutron shielding layer is 30~90%. |
