The present invention relates to a method for dyeing a polarizing film, i.e., a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film, used in a backlight unit or an illumination device of a liquid crystal display, and dissolved in a mixed solvent of ethylene glycol and dimethyl sulfoxide in a supercritical fluid environment. By providing a dyeing method of a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film dyeing a dye, it is environmentally friendly and economical because it can reduce the amount of dye, waste dye and waste water than when dyeing the film by a conventional method, The physical properties of polarization and durability can provide a dyeing method of the film that can be produced excellent polarizing film. |
