abstract It is an object of the invention to provide a process for the production of industrially inexpensive 2-alkenyl-3-aminothiophene derivatives useful as agrochemical intermediates. The present invention is to react the 3-aminothiophene derivative represented by the general formula (2) or a salt thereof with a ketone represented by the general formula (1) without using a protecting group, and thus the 2-position of the 3-aminothiophene derivative. A method of introducing an alkenyl group into a compound, and a 2-alkenyl-3-aminothiophene derivative (3a) to (3d) useful as an agricultural chemical intermediate.
