abstract Provided are sterilizers capable of sterilizing articles such as test tubes, flasks, beakers, scalpels and forceps in a short time and smoothly. The sterilization gas generator 42 which supplies sterilization gas in the storage chamber 4 is provided. The sterilizing gas generating device 42 mists the sterilizing agent solution (hydrogen peroxide water) by the ultrasonic vibrator 46. An ultraviolet generating device (ultraviolet lamp 50) which irradiates the ultraviolet-ray to the gas in the storage chamber 4 is provided. The door 14 which opens and closes the opening 2A of the storage chamber 4 freely, and the correcting device 52 which prohibit opening of this door 14 are provided. From the start of the sterilization process to the end of the disintegration process, the control device 60 is provided to prevent the opening of the door 14 by the correcting device 52.
