abstract An apparatus for driving an electric discharge display panel to cope with electrostatic discharge maintains normal reading and wiring operations continuously by initializing a RAM whenever a vertical synchronization pulse informing an initial point of a frame is generated. At least one RAM(Random Access Memory) stores subfield data of at least two frames for reading and writing operations. The RAM is initialized whenever a vertical synchronization pulse informing an initial point of a frame is generated. After the RAM is initialized, the reading and wiring operations are performed for the RAM.
