abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel α-galactosidase having galactose transfer activity isolated from Bifidomakterium bifidum. The α-galactosidase can convert melibioses to α-galactobiodisaccharides, which promote the growth of bifidobacteria in the intestine to improve intestinal health and inhibit the growth of pathogenic flora. It can be mixed in food or animal feed. |
