abstract |
A phosphor that emits green fluorescence, and provides a high-performance phosphor having excellent conversion efficiency and color purity for blue light or near ultraviolet light. Phosphor which satisfy | fills following (i)-(v). (i) The peak emission wavelength in the case of excitation with light having a peak wavelength of 400 nm or 455 nm is 510 nm or more and 542 nm or less. (ii) The light emission peak half value width in the case of excitation with light having a peak wavelength of 400 nm or 455 nm is 75 nm or less. (iii) The external quantum efficiency prescribed | regulated by the following formula at the time of excited by the light of peak wavelength 400nm or 455nm is 0.42 or more.n n n (External quantum efficiency) = (internal quantum efficiency) × (absorption efficiency)n n n (iv) At least a part of the surface of the phosphor is made of a material containing oxygen. (v) The phosphor contains a metal element capable of taking divalent and trivalent valences (hereinafter referred to as "M II element"), and the M to the total moles of divalent elements contained in the phosphor. The ratio of the number-of-moles of element II is larger than 1%, and is less than 15%. |
