The present invention provides methods for assessing the risk of developing acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in smokers and nonsmokers using analysis of gene polymorphisms. The invention also relates to the use of the gene polymorphism used to assess a subject's risk of developing ACS. Also provided are nucleotide probes and primers, kits and microarrays suitable for such evaluation. |
