titleOfInvention | Detection of Neuroblastoma Cells |
abstract | The present invention comprises the steps of (a) obtaining total RNA from a biological sample; (b) obtaining cDNA using the total RNA; (c) performing real time PCR using one primer pair and two probes hybridized to a tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) -coding nucleotide target sequence on the cDNA, wherein Two probes hybridize to an internal sequence of the target sequence to which the primer pair hybridizes, each of the two probes labeled with a fluorescence resonance energy transfer pair; And (d) relates to a method for detecting neuroblastoma cells comprising the step of analyzing the PCR reaction product of step (c), and the kit used therein. According to the present invention, it is possible to detect microscopic residual neuroblastoma present in peripheral blood or bone marrow blood of a patient with high sensitivity [about 1 neurocytoma cell / 10 5 PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cell)] and specificity (about 100%). This may provide useful clinical information about the timing of the final treatment decision and early detection of recurrence. |
