abstract |
Even if the polymer electrolyte fuel cell is repeatedly operated and stopped, the polymer electrolyte fuel cell with excellent durability can be easily suppressed and the degradation of the polymer electrolyte membrane can be suppressed for a long time, and the degradation of initial characteristics can be sufficiently prevented. The present invention provides a membrane catalyst layer assembly and a membrane electrode assembly which can be reliably realized. Electrode catalyst in the peripheral portion of at least one of the anode catalyst layer and the cathode catalyst layer of a membrane catalyst layer assembly having a polymer electrolyte membrane having a hydrogen ion conductivity disposed between the anode catalyst layer, the cathode catalyst layer, the anode catalyst layer and the cathode catalyst layer. The mass per unit area of the catalyst bed forms a decreasing portion that decreases from the inside toward the outside. |
