BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an electrode for supercapacitors, which manufactures an ultrafine fibrous titanium oxide layer on an electrical current collector by electrospinning, and heat-processes it at high temperature to produce a substrate for supercapacitor with high conductivity. A metal oxide capable of redox reduction is deposited on this substrate to produce an electrode for a supercapacitor. The supercapacitor electrode according to the present invention including the ultra-fine titanium oxide fiber heat-treated at a high temperature as described above has a high specific surface area, has a high specific capacity, and is made of a high-conductivity substrate, thus providing a high specific capacity even at high charge and discharge.
