abstract | The present invention relates to a method for predicting meat quality of pigs, and more particularly, to a method for predicting meat quality and post-mortem metabolism of pigs using myosin subtype which is a myofibrillar protein of pigs.n n n According to the present invention, the existing meat predictors are only prediction of specific traits using a marker gene, but the newly selected myofibrillar protein subtypes can predict meat quality more accurately by directly analyzing the metabolic properties of muscles in vivo. It can be used as an indicator of improved breeding of livestock. |
