titleOfInvention Semiconductor optical lens forming process and semiconductor optical lens manufactured thereby
abstract A semiconductor substrate having an anode pattern is anodized to form an optical lens. The anodization utilizes an electrolyte solution that etches the oxidized portion formed as a result of the anodization. The electrolyte solution is etched as soon as the oxidized portion is formed. As a result, a porous layer having a pattern corresponding to the anode pattern is formed. After removing the porous layer, the substrate is processed to remove the fine protrusions remaining on the upper surface of the substrate so as to be smooth. As a result, a lens having an improved transmittance is formed.
