abstract |
The present invention relates to peroxide curable rubbers comprising high multiolefin halobutyl ionomers, peroxide curing agents and nanoclays prepared by reacting a halogenated butyl polymer having a high mole percent multiolefin with at least one nitrogen and / or phosphorus based nucleophile. It relates to a nanocomposite compound. The resulting high multiolefin halobutyl ionomer comprises about 2 to 10 mole percent multiolefin. The invention also relates to moldings comprising rubber compounds. |
