abstract |
Disclosed is a method for producing a polyolefin. One method involves polymerizing olefins in the presence of a catalyst system comprising a single site complex, an agglomerated metal oxide / clay support-activator, and an ionic borate. Including ionic borate and support-activator provides unexpected enhancement of catalytic activity and provides polyolefins with high molecular weight and improved comonomer content. In another method of the present invention, the olefin is polymerized in the presence of indenoindolyl metal alkylated complex and agglomerated metal oxide / clay support-activator. The use of alkylated indenoindolyl complexes with support-activators improves the activity compared to metal halides. |
