abstract A sterile air filter for use in an air vent, comprising: a sterile air filter comprising a fixed network, wherein the fixed network removes bacteria suspended in a volume of air moving along the air passage. At least one antimicrobial agent is incorporated into the fiber to immobilize, retain, at least inhibit the growth of microbes or typically kill the bacteria. It includes a plurality of fibers that are molecularly bonded. The fixed network is substantially permeable to air. The present invention is used in an air circulation system and provides a sterile face mask and a sterile air filter comprising the fixed network.
