abstract The present invention provides a hydrophobic linear molecular polyrotaxane soluble in an organic solvent, and a crosslinked polyrotaxane using the same.n n n The hydrophobic linear molecular polyrotaxane of the present invention comprises a cyclic molecule, a linear molecule that is encapsulated in a tubular shape with the cyclic molecule, and a blocking group which is disposed at both ends of the linear molecule to prevent the cyclic molecule from leaving. Have Straight chain molecules are hydrophobic. The linear molecule is polycaprolactone and its molecular weight is 5,000 to 100,000. The cyclic molecule is α-cyclodextrin, β-cyclodextrin or γ-cyclodextrin. The crosslinked polyrotaxane is formed by bonding the hydrophobic linear molecular polyrotaxane and a polymer through a cyclic molecule.
