abstract |
The present invention provides a process for recovering one or more triarylphosphines from a Group 8 metal catalyst triarylphosphine complex mixture. The method is particularly useful for recovering triarylphosphine from the Group VIII metal catalyst complex mixture used. The method comprises the steps of: (i) forming a distillate from a Group 8 catalyst complex mixture containing a Group 8 metal catalyst complex, a triarylphosphine, and light ends components, wherein the distillate is a vaporous triaryl At least a portion of the phosphine and at least a portion of the vaporized light fuel oil component); Cooling the distillate to a temperature below the boiling point of the light fuel oil component to produce condensate; (Iii) crystallizing at least a portion of the triarylphosphine using the light fuel oil component as the crystallization liquid; And (iv) recovering the crystallized triarylphosphine from the condensate. |
