titleOfInvention Engagement member
abstract The present invention relates to a coupling member 10, in particular surgical sutures. The engagement member 10 comprises a first material 12 that is substantially rigid when subjected to a tensile load that lasts relatively short on both sides, and a second material 11 connected to the first material. The second material is substantially rigid when subjected to the tensile load on both sides and contracts slowly during a second period longer than the first period.
