abstract The present invention relates to novel and highly transparent zeolite-doped polymers and zeolite monolayers. The outer coating of zeolite crystals with covalently bonded and functionalized alkoxysilane derivatives makes it possible to effectively disperse nano zeolite particles into organic liquid monomers, which are subsequently hardened, insoluble and transparent by the copolymerization process. The material is obtained. By simply changing the zeolite loading, the optical properties such as color, refractive index, Abbe number or photochromism can be finely adjusted while maintaining transparency.
