titleOfInvention Airgel modified with epoxy and its manufacturing method
abstract A silica airgel modified with an epoxy group and a method for preparing the same. An airgel surface-modified with an epoxy group is provided, which is prepared by a pretreatment method of drying a wet gel having an epoxy group by a sol-gel reaction of an airgel precursor which is a metal alkoxide compound or water glass and a silane compound having an epoxy group, and then drying the metal alkoxide or water glass. A wet gel is prepared by a sol-gelation process of a phosphorus aerogel precursor, and the wet gel is immersed in a mixed solution of a silane compound having an epoxy group and an alcohol, and the surface of the wet gel is modified by an epoxy group and then dried. The airgel of the present invention may be used as a coating agent, a heat insulating material, a catalyst, and the like as having thermosetting, heat insulating property, porosity and transparency.
