abstract |
The present invention relates to the selective oxidation of propane to acrylic acid using highly selective catalysts, more particularly to methods of making these improved catalysts and to the use for the production of acrylic acid from propane. Improved catalysts having the formula: Mo 1 V a (Te and / or Sb) b (Nb and / or Ta) c Si d O x wherein a is 0.006 to 1, b 0.006 to 1, c is 0.001 To 0.5, d is from 0 to 3.5, x is dependent on the oxidation state of the other elements], a Mo-V- (Te and / or Sb) -O mixed metal optionally comprising Nb and / or Ta and / or Si.
