abstract | A polyester composition is disclosed comprising a polyester polymer or copolymer incorporating metal molybdenum particles that improves the reheating properties of the composition. Also disclosed are methods of making such compositions. Molybdenum particles may be incorporated into the polyester by melt blending or may be added at any stage of the polymerization, such as during the melt phase of the polymerization. In addition to a range of particle sizes, a range of particle size distributions can be used. The polyester composition is suitable for use in packaging made from a process in which a reheating step is desired. |
