abstract |
The present invention provides a vector, preferably a herpes simplex virus (HSV) vector, comprising a polynucleotide sequence encoding glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) protein. The present invention also provides such vector stocks and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such vectors. Further, the present invention comprises administering to a mammal a vector comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) protein in an effective amount to treat spinal cord injury pain, such as spinal cord injury pain in a mammal. Provides a method for treating pain. |
