titleOfInvention | Driving method of discharge display panel to improve performance of gradation display |
abstract | The method of driving a discharge display panel according to the present invention includes steps a to c. In step a, the number of sustain pulses in each of the sustain periods is set so as to be inversely proportional to the average gradation of each frame while being proportional to the gradation weight assigned to each subfield. In step b, the gain of the image data is set in inverse proportion to the average gradation of each frame. In step c, the set gain and sustain pulse numbers are used to drive the discharge display panel. |
