titleOfInvention Honeycomb Structure
abstract The present invention provides a honeycomb structure useful as an exhaust gas collection filter, particularly as a diesel particulate filter (DPF) for trapping particulate matter (particulates) in exhaust gas of a diesel engine, and using or canning (under vibration). To prevent displacement of the honeycomb segment and to effectively prevent defects such as cracks due to thermal stress during use and regeneration. The honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb segment assembly having a plurality of honeycomb segments 2 integrally bonded at each bonding surface via a bonding material layer 20, and an outer circumferential coating layer covering an outer circumferential surface of the honeycomb segment assembly. The honeycomb structure has a structure in which a plurality of cells serving as fluid passages are arranged parallel to each other in the direction of the central axis, and the side portions of the cross-sectional shape of the plurality of honeycomb segments 2 in the direction perpendicular to the central axis direction ( 11) has a curvature of 1 or more.
