titleOfInvention Terpolymer Natural Polymer Viscoelastic Composition
abstract The present invention relates to ternary natural polymer viscoelastic compositions. By combining glucosamine sulfate ("GS"), sodium hyaluronate ("HA") and chondroitin sulfate ("CS"), the tertiary natural polymer viscoelastic composition of the present invention serves as a protective agent for eye tissue at the surgical site. And viscoelastic agents that can act as agents for alleviating pain and inflammation associated with eye surgery. Embodiments of the invention may include GS in combination with existing HA / CS viscoelastic agents. Embodiments of the invention may also include GS and CS in combination with a perfusion solution. In addition, to enhance the retention time at the intraarticular application site of embodiments of the present invention, the following biodegradable polymers may also be included in embodiments of the compositions of the present invention: cellulose derivatives (eg, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Ethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, etc.), carbopol, chitosan, and collagen.
