abstract |
The present invention relates to a lithium ion battery comprising a positive electrode comprising a positive electrode current collector, a first active material and a second active material. The cell also includes a negative electrode having a third active material including a negative electrode current collector and a lithium titanium salt material. The first active material, the second active material and the third active material are configured to allow doping and undoping of lithium ions. The second active material exhibits a charge / discharge capacity in a range below the corrosion potential of the negative electrode current collector and above the decomposition potential of the first active material. |
