abstract Surgical implant 10 of the present invention has one or more protrusions 14 and a planar base structure 12 that are absorbent or partially absorbent and are designed to take body fluids at least half the weight of the implant itself. In a preferred embodiment, the protrusions 14 are joined by a columnar or conical intermediate portion 17 which is present on the base structure 12 and is pointed from the base structure 12, and from the base structure 12. It has an attachment region 16 arranged by an extension 18 at its far end.
