RNA interference acts to inhibit connective tissue growth factor mRNA in visual disorders accompanied by CTGF expression. Visual disorders involving abnormal CTGF expression include glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, choroidal neovascularization, proliferative vitreoretinopathy, and wound healing. Such disorders are treated with the introduction of interfering RNAs of the invention. |
