titleOfInvention Incision of cell binding to the basement membrane
abstract The cells attach to each other and to the basement membrane to form one or more layers. Cells can be separated from the basement membrane without damaging the cell or basement membrane using the devices disclosed herein. The devices can simultaneously expose the cell basement membrane complex to light energy from both sides of the cell and basement membrane. By simultaneously exposing the cell basement membrane complex to specific levels of light energy incident from both sides, the binding of the cells that adhere to the basement membrane can be dissected.
