abstract The lumenal access system can be inverted and includes a slippery sleeve, a pusher tube, and optionally a lumen tube. The reversible and smooth sleeve is attached to an invertible sheath that is coaxially received on the pusher tube. The distal portion of the reversible sleeve is folded or flipped into the axial passage of the pusher tube to which it is connected to the lumen tube. The distal portion of the pusher tube may be bendable and typically contains a very soft polymer that is circumferentially reinforced to increase hoop strength.
