| abstract | A signal interface for connecting a semiconductor tester and a device under test is disclosed. This interface includes generic components and customized components. The generic component includes multiple copies of electronic elements that can be connected in the signal path between the tester and the device under test. The customized component is configured for a particular device under test and provides a connection between a general contact on the generic component and a test point on the device under test. The customized component also includes a conductive member that can be used to interconnect the electronic elements on the generic component. This connection constitutes an electronic element within the signal conditioning circuit, thereby providing a signal path through an interface similar to the I / O characteristics of a particular test point on the device under test. Generic and customized components can be fabricated on semiconductor wafers. |
