The present invention relates to the development of ammonia specific xanthosine 5'-monophosphate (XMP) aminase mutants and methods of converting 5'-xanthyl acid to 5'-guanylic acid using the same. More specifically, by introducing a mutation specifically at the glutamic acid cleavage site of the 5'-xanthyl acid aminase, glutamic acid degradation ability is inhibited and 5'-xanthyl acid can be converted to 5'-guanylic acid using only external ammonia. The present invention relates to the development of ammonia-specific 5'-XMP aminase and a method for converting 5'-xanthyl acid to 5'-guanylic acid with increased activity per culture using the ammonia-specific 5'-XMP aminase. |
