The present invention relates to a polyolefin / clay nanocomposite and a method for producing the same, and more particularly, to radicals and polyolefins formed by irradiating gamma rays with compounded organicized clays, polyolefins and radical initiators irradiated with gamma rays. The nanocomposite prepared by covalently bonding radicals formed by the radical initiator is not only uniformly dispersed without the use of a conventional compatibilizer but also improves the problem of deterioration of physical properties caused by the compatibilizer, and at the same time, the polyolefin / clay nanocomposite material is effectively carried out.
