titleOfInvention | Teeth Whitening Compositions and Methods |
abstract | A tooth whitening composition is formed from a tablet formulation comprising a metal ion catalyst and an alkaline pH raising compound and a peroxide solution having a peroxide concentration of about 1% to about 15%. Combination of a tablet formulation containing metal ions and a peroxide cleaner in the alkaline composition results in a tooth composition having a bubble-like viscosity, which whitens the tooth surface. Tablet formulations may also be in the form of gels or solutions. The tooth whitening process is facilitated by the use of light emitting devices that produce a selected wavelength range. The light emitting device may be coupled to a tooth tray having a tooth receiving portion formed from a polymer having optical properties.n n n n Tooth Whitening Composition, Metal Ion Catalyst, Alkaline, Peroxide |
