abstract | The present invention relates to oriented pressure sensitive adhesives and methods of making the same. The present invention is a permanently oriented pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising an acrylate-based UV-crosslinked polymer synthesized in a mass fraction of at least 50% from at least one acrylic monomer according to formula (I), wherein the original film in the liberated film A pressure sensitive adhesive in the form of a film applied as a melt (hotmelt) with preferential orientation characterized by a shrinkback of at least 3% relative to stretching:n n n n n n n n Wherein R 1 is hydrogen (H) or methyl group (CH 3 ) and R 2 is hydrogen (H) or a branched or unbranched saturated C 1 to C 30 hydrocarbon radical, which is substituted or unsubstituted by a functional group . The orientation is created by subsequent "frozen in" by UV crosslinking after the polymerization reaction by a suitable coating method. Pressure sensitive adhesives are particularly suitable for use as an adhesive layer on single or double sided adhesive tapes. |
