abstract |
The present invention reacts a solution of atazanavir free base with concentrated sulfuric acid in an amount reacting with less than about 15% by weight of atazanavir free base, and forms A of atazanavir bisulfate as a crystal in the form of atazanavir bisulfate. Seeds of crystals are added to the reaction mixture and additional concentrated sulfuric acid is added in multistep at increasing rates according to the cubic equation to form Form A crystals of atazanavir bisulfate, HIV protease inhibitor atazanavir bisulfate It relates to a method of manufacturing. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing atazanavir bisulfate as a pattern C material. The present invention also relates to a novel form of atazanavir bisulfate in form E3, which is a highly crystalline triethanolate solvate of bisulfate salts from ethanol. |
