abstract |
The present invention is suitable for forming fluoroelastomers and produces compounds having low glass transition temperatures and inherent characteristics of certain physical properties. The compound generally comprises an elastomeric copolymer, a curable component and one or more mineral fillers. Elastomeric copolymers include interpolymerized monomer units derived from vinylidene fluoride. In the vulcanization treatment, the resulting elastomeric compound has certain physical properties as indicated by tensile strength, elongation and shrinkage at low temperature (TR-10). |
