Provided are methods and systems for medical treatment management in which a patient's fluid is subjected to extracorporeal manipulation and treatment prior to administration to the patient. The system includes two or more treatment units that continuously treat fluid, and a token associated with the patient. The token has a patient identification and, as the treatment progresses, the fluid is maintained until the token contains a record of the treatment performed on the sample, the times of the various treatments, and a confirmation that the treatment was performed according to predetermined criteria. As you move around, more information is added to the token. The token allows the administration of the treated fluid and provides an audit record of the treatment if it contains information identifying the identity of the patient and treatment according to the specification. |
