A multilayer photovoltaic device formed on the inner surface of the small glass sphere 10 provides sustainable power to the sensor, and a communication and data processing device is secured inside the sphere. The sphere is encapsulated in a transparent rubber cover 21 which is provided for transportable small motes for use in information gathering, defense, security and other civil applications. |
