Provided are methods for preparing purine base analogs, purine nucleosides, and purine nucleotides (eg, inosine and 5′-inosinic acid), including the use of bacteria belonging to the genus Bacillus or Escherichia . At this time, the purine productivity of the bacterium is improved by increasing the activity of the YdhL protein. Also disclosed are amino acid sequences of YdhL proteins from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and genes encoding them. |
