abstract |
The present invention provides a modified form of the additionin protein having a biological activity with reduced propensity to activate human T cells as compared to the unmodified additionin protein. The invention also provides modified T cell epitope peptides of Buginin with reduced propensity to activate human T cells as compared to T-cell epitope peptides of Buginin and unmodified T-cell epitope peptides. The present invention also provides cytotoxins having ligands that bind to cancer cells attached to the modified additionin protein. The present invention also provides a method for inhibiting or destroying mammalian cancer cells by using the cytotoxin of the present invention and a pharmaceutical composition for treating human cancer. |
