Delivery systems, preparations containing biologically active agents, and oscillations with microprojection members (or systems) comprising a plurality of microprojections (or arrays thereof) suitable for penetrating through the stratum corneum to the underlying epidermal layer or epidermal and dermal layers. A device and method for transdermal delivery of a biologically active agent comprising an inducing device. In one embodiment, the biologically active agent is contained in a biocompatible coating applied to the microprojection member. In another embodiment, the delivery system includes a gel pack having a drug-containing hydrogel formulation applied to the skin of a patient and then located on the microprojection member. In an alternative embodiment, the biologically active agent is contained in both coating and hydrogel formulations. |
