abstract |
Electrochemical battery cells with holes provided in a container or cell cover have holes sealed by an improved thermoplastic sealing member, which forms at least a portion of the pressure relief vent of the cell and is effective sealing over a wide temperature range. It is composed of a material comprising a thermoplastic resin and at least 10 percent by weight of heat-stable filler to provide a reliable pressure relief vent. |
