abstract The present invention provides a simple and efficient method for measuring a substrate in a sample, and a reagent for measuring the same, which can be applied to various automatic analysis apparatuses by reducing interference of hemoglobin in a sample. The present invention provides a method for measuring a substrate in a sample by operating an oxidase corresponding to a substrate and optically measuring the resulting hydrogen peroxide using a peroxidase and an oxidizing colorant reagent, wherein the hemoglobin-containing sample is a polyoxyethylene alkyl Ether sulfates, polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether sulfates, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphates, polyoxyethylene alkyl sulfosuccinates, polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers carboxylates, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfonates Disclosed is a method for measuring a substrate in a hemoglobin-containing sample, characterized by treatment with an anionic surfactant selected from lysates, triethanolamine lauryl sulfate, alkyl sulfosuccinates and alkylphenyl ethersulfonic acid salts.
