Personal diagnostic devices including diagnostic patches (bio-patches) and interactive medical bracelets (bio-bracelets) have a skin / patch interface, one or more analysis layers, a signal processing layer, and a user output interface. Examples of interactive diagnostic devices may include microfluidic circuits having reaction chambers, assay chambers, mixing chambers, and various pre-installed chemicals or reagents for conducting various tests by transdermal transport of blood or sweat. The sample collection chamber for the fluid circuit may include minimally invasive tubules for penetrating the skin surface to obtain blood samples from capillaries around the epidermis. Other examples of personal diagnostic devices may include logic processing, input / output devices, acoustic microphones, cryogenic circuits, embedded processors, electrical control circuits, and battery current sources or photovolatile sources of current. |
