abstract | A liquid crystal display device capable of extending the color reproduction range when a cold cathode fluorescent lamp is used as a light source is provided. The green phosphor of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp includes BaMgAl 10 O 17 : Eu, Mn. Since the wavelength region of the green emission spectrum is located on the shorter wavelength side than when the green phosphor includes LaPO 4 : Ce, Tb, the spectral width of the green emission spectrum becomes narrower. Therefore, the overlap between the wavelength region of the green display light and the red display light is reduced. Moreover, the spectral characteristics (blue spectral characteristics) of the blue display light are set to satisfy certain conditional expressions. The overlap between the wavelength region of the green display light and the blue display light is also reduced. |
